We're replacing password-based login with a six-digit code sent to your email each time you sign in.
Why make the switch?
One-time codes help to keep your account secure. As long as you have access to your email inbox, you don’t need to worry about getting locked out if you forget your password. Additionally, they remove the risk of bad actors learning your password and accessing your account without permission.
Do I need to set anything up?
No, as long as the email address on your account is correct and able to receive emails, you don’t need to make any changes. You can check and update your email address in your account settings here.
What if I want to continue using a password?
If you have an existing password on your account, you can still use it. You'll see a Log in with your password option during the login flow. You don't need to change anything if you'd rather keep using a password for now. Learn more here.
Why can’t I see the option to log in using a one-time code?
We’re working to roll out this change to all users and accounts. While the update is ongoing, you may be shown the new one-time code option, or you may still temporarily see the old login form.
