You can restrict who can interact with you using direct messages on Mixcloud, to help prevent unwanted contact from other users.
Users can opt to receive direct messages from:
- Anyone on Mixcloud
- Only people I follow
- No one
To update your settings:
On a computer -
- Log in to your Mixcloud account
- Click your profile picture at the top-right of the navigation bar
- Click the cog (
)icon to get to your settings page at https://www.mixcloud.com/settings/profile/
- Scroll down to the 'Direct Messages' section
- You can find this between your personal/bio information and your social links
- Choose your selection from the drop-down
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Save Profile Settings' at the bottom-right
Via the app -
- Log in to your Mixcloud account
- From the homepage, tap the cog (
)icon at the top-right to get to your settings tab
- Tap 'Direct Messages'
- Choose your selection from the drop-down
If you're receiving unwanted contact from one or more accounts, you can block them. This will prevent them from contacting you via direct message, posting comments on your content, and participating in the chat when you live-stream.
