What is the messaging feature on Mixcloud?
We've introduced our message feature to allow you to send private messages to other listeners and creators.
Messages are a great way to connect with other users on the platform, share your appreciation, and build your community.
Who can see my messages?
You can see messages that you have been sent by logging into your Mixcloud profile. Messages you send and receive are not publicly displayed on profiles.
If you want to leave a public message, you can comment on a user's uploads or Posts.
Although messages can't be viewed publicly, you may wish to avoid sharing personal information or sensitive details for your safety.
Additionally, all content on the platform, including private messages, must be in line with our Community Guidelines and Terms of Use. Any usage of our messaging feature that does not abide by these terms puts your account at risk of deletion, and we reserve the right to review your direct messages for security and safety reasons.
How do I check my messages?
Depending on your notification settings, you may receive an email notification when someone sends you a message. You can check and adjust your notification settings following these steps: How do I change my email notifications.
❕Please note that it's currently only possible to check and leave messages when you access Mixcloud on a computer.
To check the messages you've received on Mixcloud, log in to your account using your computer browser and navigate to https://www.mixcloud.com/my-messages/, or:

How do I send messages to another user?
NB: It's not currently possible to view, delete, or unsend a message after sending it to a user.
From a user's profile page
You can send another user a message by visiting their Mixcloud profile on a computer.
Look for the 'Send Message' button underneath their profile picture and information:
A text box will open so you can write and send your message.
Replying from your inbox
If a user has already messaged you, you can send a reply directly from your inbox.
Look for the message you wish to reply to in https://www.mixcloud.com/my-messages/ and click the 'Send Message' button to open the text box for your reply.
Removing unwanted messages
You can delete messages that you've received by clicking the three-dot button to view more options and clicking 'Delete'.
You cannot delete or unsend messages you've sent to other profiles.
If you believe that a message you've received breaches our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines, please report it to our team for review. You can find more information here, and you may also wish to block the user to prevent them from sending you further messages.
