Troubleshooting Chromecast issues
If you're experiencing issues with Chromecast, we'd recommend the following troubleshooting steps below.
The cast icon is not showing on the player
Chromecast devices may not be discoverable until the Mixcloud app is launched.
Fully close the Mixcloud app and make sure your Chromecast device is fully booted up, which can take up to a minute after switching the device on.
Once it's fully booted, relaunch the Mixcloud app.
You may wish to cast to your device using a different app as confirmation that both devices are on the same network.
My device is connected to a Chromecast device but content is not playing
Shows will not automatically play after connecting to a Chromecast device but tapping play will resume playback.
You may have to disconnect and reconnect to the Chromecast device for shows to start playing.
Playback won't continue to the next show in the Player Queue
Tapping the Cast icon will display the current session with a play/pause button. Selecting the play/pause button should resume the audio and the Mixcloud app player will reflect this.
