What is the 'three strike' policy?
Mixcloud is proud to be a platform where creators can legally share their content for listeners to enjoy, and an inclusive space for all creators and listeners to connect with each other.
We have some rules and guidelines in place to help us keep Mixcloud a fun and fair platform, and we have automated and manual processes in place to keep the platform safe.
We have a 'three strike' policy for actions that breach our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines. We recommend reviewing these documents to help ensure your content and conduct meet our requirements.
⚠️ Please note that we reserve the right to remove any profile or content that breaches our Terms of Use at any time, with or without notice. Depending on the severity of the breach we identify, your account may be deactivated immediately, regardless of the number of strikes previously received.
Why have I received a strike?
If you receive a strike, you will be contacted by our Support Team with information about why this has happened and any further action you may need to take.
You are solely responsible for keeping your contact email address up-to-date. We recommend periodically checking that the email address on your Mixcloud account is still active and accessible, and updating your profile if necessary.
A strike may be issued in some circumstances, including but not limited to:
- Using content that you don't own the rights to (eg. uploading another creator's shows, streaming music videos, or using someone else's artwork without their permission).
- Including shocking, graphic, or sexual content.
- Using any feature on the platform to harass or bully others.
- Employing methods to inflate your play count or other engagement artificially (eg. buying plays).
For more information, please review our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines.
Please note that strikes are cumulative across the different 'categories' or reasons listed above. For example, this means that a user who receives one strike for uploading content they don't own and two strikes for offensive content will have their account removed.

Can I create a new account?
