Where can I find the live chat?
You can access the live stream chat by heading to the creator's broadcast page in the Mixcloud app, or using a computer or mobile browser app.
What are the rules for taking part in a live stream chat?
We want Mixcloud to be a fun and safe platform for all users. This extends to all content and communication on the platform, and we ask that all users keep comments respectful and relevant.
Please do not include any comments that may be considered as:
- Hateful, bullying, harassment, or a violation of someone else's privacy.
- Spam, irrelevant or misleading information, or links and content that may be harmful to another user's device or equipment.
- Inappropriate content, including:
- Sexual content.
- Dangerous, violent, or shocking content.
- Illegal or drug-related content.
For more information, please review our Community Guidelines and User Code of Conduct.
We reserve the right to take action if we identify content (including live chat comments) that breach our guidelines. This may include issuing a warning or removing the comment and/or Mixcloud profile.
Why do I need to log in to participate in the chat?
Anyone can view live streams on Mixcloud without logging in, but the chat feature is only available for logged-in listeners.
This helps to keep our platform safe and discourages trolls, spam, and other inappropriate behaviour on Mixcloud.
You can create an account and view live streams for free by heading to https://www.mixcloud.com/login/ and clicking 'Sign up'.
How can I report an issue during the live chat?
If you've noticed behaviour in a live stream that breaches our Community Guidelines, please report the user (including as much information as possible, such as their username, the live stream URL, and screenshots) to our Support Team so we can take appropriate action.
Why aren't my messages sending?
Creators can edit the settings related to their live streams. They may choose to:
- Make the live stream unavailable to all users.
- Limit the users who can participate in the live chat.
If you try to send a live chat message on mobile and it doesn't appear to send, please retry using Mixcloud on a computer or using your mobile browser app (eg. Chrome or Safari).
If your message cannot be sent via both the browser and the app, and if you're not seeing a message confirming the chat has been disabled, please contact our Support Team so we can help troubleshoot further.
